BPS-Statistics Jawa Timur Province Attends FGD on Policy Scenarios for Prices and Income

As an effort to contribute to research on food consumption, BPS-Statistics Jawa Timur Province today (31/07) attended the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Policy Scenarios for Prices and Income to Accelerate Household Protein Consumption in Indonesia, organized by the Islamic University of Malang. Held at Klub Bunga Hall, Batu City, the event was attended by several lecturers and students from UNISMA and UNITRI. In this event, the Head of BPS-Statistics Jawa Timur Province, Zulkipli, outlined issues regarding food consumption in Jawa Timur, starting with agricultural potential, the condition of food commodity exports and imports, as well as food price fluctuations, and their relation to the complex rice milling industry competition in Jawa Timur. In the final part, Zulkipli emphasized the importance of food data quality as the cornerstone for the future of Jawa Timur.
