2024 People's Welfare Statistics Coordination Meeting

Surabaya, 7-8 November 2024 – BPS East Java Province held the 2024 People's Welfare Statistics Coordination Meeting as a strategic step to strengthen synergy in producing quality people's welfare data. The two-day activity brought together stakeholders from various agencies, including representatives of BPS districts/cities throughout East Java, to discuss and coordinate various aspects of people's welfare statistics as well as discuss preparation efforts for the March 2025 Susenas activities.

In the opening of the event, the Head of BPS East Java, Zulkipli, emphasized the importance of solid collaboration between various work units and related agencies in collecting, processing, and presenting accurate data. In addition, more efforts are also needed from each work unit to better monitor Susenas data.

With the holding of this coordination meeting, BPS East Java hopes to produce more comprehensive and targeted people's welfare statistics, so that it can support more accurate policy making in the East Java Province.
