BPS Jatim becomes the Source of Sectoral Statistical Metadata

Wednesday (13/11), BPS East Java Province was present as a resource person in the Sectoral Statistical Metadata Coordination Meeting held by the East Java Provincial Government at the Southern Hotel Surabaya. Pramana Yhoga, a Young Expert Statistician from BPS East Java, was trusted to deliver important material related to accurate and integrated metadata management.

This event was attended by representatives from various OPDs in East Java, with the aim of improving the quality of metadata as a basis for data-based policy making. In the presentation session, Pramana Yhoga emphasized the importance of statistical metadata in creating standardized information that can be accessed by various sectors, so that the data produced has high reliability and consistency.

Pramana also highlighted the strategic role of metadata in compiling integrated sectoral data at the provincial level. With cross-sectoral coordination, it is hoped that East Java will be able to have a stronger and more comprehensive database, supporting effective and targeted regional policies.

This Sectoral Statistical Metadata Coordination Meeting is a strategic step in strengthening the synergy between BPS East Java and the East Java Provincial Government, as well as encouraging the use of quality, integrated statistical data that supports sustainable development in East Java.
