NAS Deputy Strengthens Coordination of Compilation of Statistical Balance in East Java

Deputy for Balance and Statistical Analysis (NAS) of BPS RI, Edy Mahmud, conducted a working visit to BPS East Java Province on Friday, January 17, 2025. During the day, the visit focused on strengthening coordination in compiling Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and discussing key development indicators in the field of balance. The meeting was attended by the Head and Chair of the BPS Nerwilis Team for Regencies/Cities throughout East Java.

The Head of BPS East Java Province, Zulkipli, welcomed the visit of the Deputy NAS. Mr. Zulkifli conveyed the readiness of his staff to continue to provide the best contribution.

The Coordinator of the BPS East Java Nerwilis Team, Nurul Andriana, also conveyed the business process for calculating quarterly GRDP that has been carried out so far.

In this meeting, Mr. Edy Mahmud conveyed the importance of understanding the process of compiling quarterly GRDP at the district/city level. According to him, BPS East Java Province can be a role model in compiling GRDP and balance indicators in the coming year.

This consolidation is expected to encourage improvements in the quality of balance sheet statistics that are more innovative and have a broad impact on national development.
