KENDEDES Trial, Application Supporting the Implementation of the 2026 Economic Census

The BPS of East Java Province continues to prepare for the implementation of the upcoming Economic Census by conducting various trials. One of the strategic steps taken is the trial of the Kendedes application at BPS Pasuruan Regency and BPS Jombang Regency.

Kendedes (Economic Directory Control to SLS) is a follow-up to the SNAPWANGI innovation and other data sources to build a directory of economic businesses/companies up to the SLS level. With Kendedes, BPS East Java Province will have the latest and complete business prelist. In this trial, the team from BPS East Java Province conducted a simulation of the use of the application with the BPS Pasuruan Regency and Jombang Regency teams. In addition, discussion and evaluation sessions were also conducted to identify potential obstacles that might occur and find the best solution before this application is fully implemented.

With thorough preparation steps, BPS East Java is optimistic that the upcoming Economic Census can run more effectively and produce accurate data to support national economic planning.
