Great Chili Production, Cayenne Pepper, and Red Onion 2014

Abstract

A. GREAT CHILI

Production of large fresh chili with stalk in 2014 amounted to 111.02 thousand tons. Compared with 2013, there was an increase in production by 9.33 thousand tons (9.18 percent). This increase was due to an increase in harvested area of 411 hectares (3.05 percent) and productivity of 0.45 tonnes per hectare (5.95 percent).

B. Cayenne Pepper

Production of fresh chili with stalk in 2014 amounted to 238.82 thousand tons. Compared to the year 2013, an increase in production of 11.33 thousand tons (4.98 percent). This increase is due to increased harvested area of 555 hectares (1.10 percent) and productivity of 0.17 tonnes per hectare (3.86 percent).

C. ONION

Onion production in 2014 amounted to 293.18 thousand tons. Compared to the year 2013, an increase in production of 50.09 thousand tonnes (20.61 percent). This increase is due to increased harvested area 4.62 thousand hectares (17.76 percent) and productivity of 0.22 tonnes per hectare (2.36) percent.
