The East Java Fishermen Exchange Rate (FER) in August 2019 rose by 0.87 percent

Abstract

The East Java Fishermen Exchange Rate (NTN) in August 2019 rose 0.87 percent from 125.88 in July 2019 to 126.97 in August 2019. This increase was due to the price index received by fishermen increased by 0.85 percent, while the price index paid by fishermen dropped by 0.03 percent.
The development of NTN in August 2019 against December 2018 (calendar year) rose by 0.71 percent. The NTN development in August 2019 against August 2018 (year-on-year) decreased by 2.62 percent.
Of the six provinces in Java that performed NTN calculations in August 2019, three provinces experienced an increase in NTN and three provinces experienced a decrease in NTN. The increase in NTN occurred in Central Java Province by 1.52 percent, East Java Province by 0.87 percent, and D.I. Yogyakarta by 0.02 percent. The provinces that experienced a decline in NTN were Banten Province by 0.37 percent, DKI Jakarta Province by 0.61 percent, and West Java Province by 0.78 percent.
