Foreign Tourist Visits to East Java through Juanda in August 2019 rose by 18.33 percent

Abstract

Foreign Tourist Visits (tourists) who came to East Java through the entrance of Juanda in August 2019 rose by 18.33 percent compared to July, ie from 25,143 visits to 29,751 visits.
The number of foreign tourists visiting August 2019 decreased by 12.92 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the same period in 2018 which reached 34,166 visits.
Most tourists in August were Malaysians reaching 7,960 visits or up 25.14 percent, followed by Singapore nationalities with 3,368 visits or up 54.07 percent, and Chinese nationalities were 2,581 visits or down by 15.49 percent compared to July 2019.
Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in East Java in August 2019 reached 54.49 percent, down 5.59 points compared to the previous month. The ROR for 5-star hotels (five) by 58.53 percent was the highest ROR compared to the ROR for other five-star hotels.
The average length of stay of foreign guests at star-rated hotels in August 2019 reached 2.35 or decreased 0.17 points compared to July 2019 which reached 2.52 days. The overall RLMT in August 2019 was 1.66 days or the same, compared to July which also reached 1.66 days.
