Jawa Timur Province's exports in December 2019 were USD 1.72 billion, up 1.23 percent

Abstract

  • The value of Jawa Timur Province's exports in December 2019 reached USD 1.72 billion, an increase of 1.23 percent compared to November. This value compared to December 2018 rose by 12.64 percent.
  •  Non-oil and gas exports in December 2019 reached USD 1.65 billion, an increase of 4.97 percent compared to November. This value compared to December 2018 rose by 11.30 percent.
  • December 2019 oil and gas exports reached USD 64.95 million, down by 46.91 percent compared to November. This value increased by 62.34 percent when compared to December 2018.
  • The main categories of non-oil and gas export goods in December 2019 were Jewelry / Gems at USD 179.85 million, followed by Animal / Vegetable Fat and Oil at USD 167.70 million and Timber and Wood Goods at USD 115.72 million.
  • Cumulatively, during January-December 2019, exports out of East Java amounted to USD 20.28 billion, down 0.49 percent compared to January-December 2018, amounting to USD 20.38 billion.
  • The biggest non-oil and gas export destination countries in January-December 2019 are Japan reaching USD 2,959.13 million (with a role of 15.28 percent) followed by exports to the United States of USD 2,634.43 million or with a role of 13.60 percent, and to China USD 2,299.36 million with a role of 11.87 percent. Non-oil and gas exports to the ASEAN region reached USD 3,654.17 million or with a contribution of 18.87 percent, while non-oil and gas exports to the European Union were USD 1,614.49 million (8.34 percent).
  • East Java Import Value in December 2019 reached USD 2.05 billion or decreased by 5.05 percent compared to November. This figure is experiencing a decrease of 5.22 percent compared to December 2018.
  • Non-oil and gas imports in December 2019 reached USD 1.59 billion, down 8.60 percent compared to November. The non-oil / gas import value decreased by 10.46 percent compared to December 2018.
  • December 2019 oil and gas imports amounted to USD 454.86 million or up by 9.86 percent compared to November. Compared to December 2018, the value rose by 19.24 percent.
  • December main categories of non-oil and gas imports of goods 2019 is the Fruits (HS 08) group of USD 166.55 million, the next category of goods Machinery Mechanical Aircraft (HS 84) valued at USD 165.17 million Iron and Steel group (HS 08) in the amount of USD 145.95 Million.
  • Cumulatively, during January-December 2019, imports which entered East Java in the amount of USD 23.34 billion or down 9.32 percent compared to January- December 2018, amounting to USD 25.73 billion
  • Country of origin of the largest non-oil and gas imported goods during January-December 2019 from China USD 5,872.78 million (31.02 percent), followed by the United States USD 1,306.46 million (6.90 percent) and imports from Thailand in the amount of USD 983.08 million (5.19 percent). Non-oil and gas imports from the ASEAN group of USD 2,907.68 million (15.36 percent), while non-oil and gas imports from the Union Europe reached USD 1,606.87 million (8.49 percent).
