The number of tourists to East Java through Juanda in December 2019 decreased by 1.13 percent while the ROR for starred hotels dropped by 1.48 points

Abstract

Foreign tourist arrivals (tourists) who came to East Java through the entrance of Juanda in December 2019 fell by 1.13 percent compared to November, namely from 20,780 visits to 20,546 visits.
The number of foreign tourists visiting December 2019 decreased by 22.79 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the same period in 2018 which reached 26,609 visits.
Most foreign tourists in December were Malaysians who reached 6,554 visits, down 13.13 percent, followed by Singapore nationalities with 3,149 visits or up 34.80 percent, and Chinese nationalities were 1,911 visits or down by 3.58 percent compared to November 2019.
Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in East Java in December 2019 reached 62.77 percent, down 1.48 points compared to the previous month. The ROR for five-star hotels (71.75 percent) is the highest ROR compared to the ROR for other five-star hotels.
The average length of stay of foreign guests at star-rated hotels in December 2019 reached 3.33, up 0.38 points compared to November 2019 which reached 2.95 days. The overall RLMT in December 2019 was 1.66 days, down 0.03 points, compared to November which reached 1.69 days.
