East Java Inflation In February amounted to 0.31 percent

Abstract

  • In February 2020 East Java experienced inflation of 0.31 percent. Of the eight CPI cities in East Java, all experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Jember was 0.51 percent and the lowest in Banyuwangi was 0.10 percent.
  • Inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the increase in most of the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.03 percent, the clothing and footwear group by 0.04 percent, the housing, water, electricity and household fuel by 0.06 percent, the health group by 0.30 percent, the transportation group by 0.01 percent, the information, communication and financial services group by 0.03 percent, the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0, 09 percent, and the personal care and other services group by 0.65 percent. Whereas the group that experienced deflation were the equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance group by 0.07 percent and the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.02 percent. Meanwhile the education group did not change.
  • The February 2020 calendar year inflation rate was 0.81 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (February 2020 against February 2019) was 2.54 percent.
