Abstract


• East Java Farmers Exchange (NTP) in April 2020 fell 2.01 percent from 101.47 to 99.43. The decrease in FTT was due to the price index received by farmers (IT) which had decreased, while the price index paid by farmers (IB) had increased.
• In April 2020, four agricultural subsectors experienced a decrease in FTT and one subsector increased. The subsector that experienced the largest FTT decline occurred in the Horticulture subsector by 2.93 percent from 103.44 to 100.41, followed by the Fisheries subsector by 2.36 percent from 97.51 to 95.21, the Livestock sub-sector by 2.26 percent from 99, 79 to 97.53 and Food Crop sub-sector by 2.03 percent from 102.57 to 100.48. Whereas the subsector that experienced an increase in FTT was the People's Plantation sub-sector by 0.26 percent from 97.58 to 97.84.
• Of the five provinces in Java that did FTT calculations in April 2020, all provinces experienced a decline in FTT. The largest FTT decrease occurred in Banten Province by 2.26 percent, followed by East Java and West Java Provinces by 2.01 percent, Central Java Province by 1.58 percent, and Yogyakarta Special Province by 1.19 percent.
