East Java Fishermen Exchange Rate (NTN) in May 2020 decreased by 0.39 percent

Abstract

• East Java Fishermen Exchange Rate (NTN) in May 2020 decreased 0.39 percent from 94.26 in April 2020 to 93.90 in May 2020. This decrease was caused by the price index received by fishermen decreased by 0.44 percent, more a large of the decline in the price index paid by fishermen by 0.05 percent.

• The development of NTN in May 2020 against December 2019 (calendar year) decreased by 4.19 percent. The development of NTN in May 2020 against May 2019 (year-on-year) decreased by 4.32 percent.

• Out of the six provinces in Java that calculated NTN in May 2020, two provinces experienced an increase in NTN and four provinces experienced a decrease in NTN. The increase in NTN occurred in Central Java Province by 1.08 percent, and West Java Province by 0.25 percent. The provinces that experienced a decline in NTN were East Java Province by 0.39 percent, DI Yogyakarta Province by 0.64 percent, DKI Jakarta Province by 0.65 percent, and the last was Banten Province with a decrease of 1.02 percent.
