• The main category of non-oil and gas export goods in September 2020 was Copper (HS 74) with a value of USD 149.74 million, followed by Timber and timber products (HS 44) with a value of USD 129.69 million, and Fish and Shrimp (HS 03) with a value of amounting to USD 100.61 million.
• Cumulatively, during January - September 2020, exports out of East Java amounted to USD 14.25 billion or decreased by 6.06 percent compared to January - September 2019, which was USD 15.17 billion.
• The largest export destination country in January - September 2020 was Japan which reached USD 2.13 billion (with a role of 15.47 percent) followed by exports to China amounting to USD 2.02 billion (with a role of 14.68 percent) and to the United States amounting to USD 1.85 billion (with a role of 13.41 percent). Non-oil and gas exports to the ASEAN region reached USD 2.59 billion (with a contribution of 18.80 percent), while non-oil and gas exports to the European Union amounted to USD 1.07 billion (with a contribution of 7.76 percent).
• The Import Value of East Java in September 2020 reached USD 1.75 billion, an increase of 11.11 percent compared to August 2020. This figure actually decreased by 9.41 percent compared to September 2019.
• Non-oil and gas imports in September 2020 reached USD 1.43 billion, an increase of 6.21 percent compared to August 2020. The value of non-oil and gas imports decreased by 7.57 percent compared to September 2019.
• September 2020 oil and gas imports amounted to USD 318.15 million or an increase of 40.19 percent compared to August 2020. Compared to September 2019, this value actually decreased by 16.87 percent.
The main categories of non-oil and gas imports in September 2020 were the Machinery / Mechanical Aircraft (HS 84) for USD 175.56 million, the next for the Food Industry Waste / Waste goods (HS 23) for USD 99.64 million and the Fruit goods group. -Materials (HS 08) of USD 95.34 million.
• Cumulatively, during January - September 2020, imports entering East Java amounted to USD 14.73 billion or decreased by 14.14 percent compared to January - August 2019, which was USD 17.15 billion
• The country of origin of the largest non-oil and gas imports during January - September 2020 from China amounted to USD 3,543.01 million (28.61 percent), followed by the United States at USD 970.14 million (7.83 percent) and imports from Thailand amounting to USD 594 , 78 million (4.80 percent). Non-oil and gas imports from the ASEAN group of countries amounted to USD 1.74 billion (14.07 percent), while non-oil and gas imports from the European Union reached USD 1.09 billion (8.78 percent).
