• East Java Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) in October 2020 increased 0.13 percent from 100.36 to 100.50. The increase in NTP was due to the price index received by farmers (It) which increased by 0.38 percent, and the price index paid by farmers (Ib) had increased by 0.25 percent.
• In October 2020, two agricultural sub-sectors experienced an increase in NTP and three sub-sectors experienced a decrease. The sub-sector that experienced the largest NTP increase occurred in the Horticulture sub-sector by 3.94 percent from 89.27 to 92.79, and the Fisheries sub-sector by 0.91 percent from 96.81 to 97.69. Meanwhile, the sub-sector that experienced a decline in NTP was the Animal Husbandry sub-sector, namely 0.92 percent from 99.34 to 98.43, followed by the Smallholder Plantation sub-sector by 0.34 percent from 98.70 to 98.37, and the Food Crops sub-sector by 0.04 percent from 103.44 to 103.40.
• Of the five provinces in Java Island that calculated their NTP in October 2020, four provinces experienced an increase in NTP, and one province experienced a decrease. The largest increase in NTP occurred in the province of West Java by 0.96 percent, followed by the province of Yogyakarta with 0.37 percent, Central Java province by 0.26 percent, and East Java province by 0.13 percent. Meanwhile, the province that experienced a decrease in NTP was Banten by 1.13 percent.
