East Java Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in August 2022 rose 0.66 percent

Abstract

The East Java Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in August 2022 rose 0.66 percent from 102.66 to 103.33. The increase in NTP was due to the price index received by farmers (It) which fell by 0.05 percent, lower than the price index paid by farmers (Ib) which fell by 0.70 percent.

In August 2022, four agricultural sub-sectors experienced an increase in FTT and one sub-sector experienced a decline. The sub-sector that experienced the largest increase in FTT occurred in the Food Crops sub-sector by 4.26 percent from 97.09 to 101.23, followed by the People's Plantation Sub-sector by 0.73 percent from 103.12 to 103.88, the Livestock sub-sector by 0.46 percent from 102.47 to 102.94 and the Fisheries sub-sector by 0.02 percent from 103.00 to 103.03. Meanwhile, the only sub-sector that experienced a decrease in FTT was the Hortculture sub-sector with a decrease of 12.49 percent from 130.74 to 114.41.

Of the five provinces in Java that calculated NTP in August 2022, all experienced an increase in NTP with the largest increase in NTP occurred in Banten Province by 2.27 percent, followed by the Special Region of Yogyakarta by 1.26 percent, Central Java by 1.02 percent. , East Java by 0.66 percent and West Java by 0.25 percent.
