East Java Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in September 2022 rose 0.63 percent

Abstract

The East Java Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in September 2022 rose 0.63 percent from 103.33 to 103.98. The increase in NTP was due to the price index received by farmers (It) which rose by 1.86 percent higher than the price index paid by farmers (Ib) which rose by 1.22 percent.

In September 2022, two agricultural sub-sectors experienced an increase in FTT and three sub-sectors experienced a decline. The sub-sector that experienced the largest increase in FTT occurred in the Food Crops sub-sector by 1.48 percent from 101.23 to 102.73, followed by the Hortculture sub-sector by 0.97 percent from 114.41 to 115.51. Meanwhile, the sub-sector that experienced the largest decrease in FTT occurred in the People's Plantation Sub-sector by 0.93 percent from 103.88 to 102.91, followed by the Fisheries sub-sector by 0.85 percent from 103.03 to 102.15 and the Livestock sub-sector by 0.79 percent from 102.94 to 102.13.

Of the five provinces on the island of Java that carried out the calculation of NTP in September 2022, four provinces experienced an increase in NTP and one province experienced a decrease. The largest increase in NTP occurred in Banten Province by 0.85 percent, followed by East Java by 0.63 percent, Central Java by 0.56 percent and West Java by 0.24 percent. Meanwhile, the decrease in NTP occurred in the Special Region of Yogyakarta by 0.07 percent.
