East Java's Economy in 2022 Grows 5.34 Percent

Abstract

East Java's economy in 2022 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices reaches IDR 2,730.91 trillion, while GRDP at constant prices reaches IDR 1,757.82 trillion.

East Java's economy in 2022 will increase by 5.34 percent (c-to-c). From the production side, the highest growth occurred in the Transportation and Warehousing Business Field which grew by 19.47 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth occurred in the Foreign Export Component which grew by 9.23 percent.

East Java's economy in Quarter IV-2022 compared to Quarter IV-2021 increased by 4.76 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, the highest growth occurred in the Other Service Business Field which grew by 12.35 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth occurred in the Consumption Expenditure Component of Nonprofit Institutions Serving Households (PK-LNPRT), which grew by 7.80 percent.

East Java's economy in Quarter IV-2022 compared to Quarter III-2022 experienced a contraction of 0.71 percent (q-to-q). From the production side, the highest growth occurred in the Government Administration, Defense and Compulsory Social Security Business Fields which grew by 7.22 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth occurred in the Government Consumption Expenditure Component which grew by 11.47 percent.
