In 2022, the rice harvest area will reach around 1.69 million hectares with production of 9.53 million tonnes of GKG. If converted into rice, rice production in 2022 will reach 5.50 million tons.

Abstract

The paddy harvested area in 2022 will reach around 1.69 million hectares, a decrease of 54 thousand hectares or 3.11 percent compared to the paddy harvested area in 2021 which was 1.75 million hectares.
Rice production in 2022, which is 9.53 million tons of GKG, has decreased by 263 thousand tons or 2.69 percent compared to rice production in 2021 which amounted to 9.79 million tons of GKG.
Rice production in 2022 for food consumption for the population will reach 5.50 million tons, a decrease of 152 thousand tons or 2.69 percent compared to rice production in 2021 which amounted to 5.65 million tons.
