Abstract

  • The Gender Inequality Index (IKG) in 2022 was 0.440, down 0.020 points compared to 2021 which was 0.460.
  • The decline in the Gender Inequality Index (IKG) was mainly influenced by improvements in the dimensions of reproductive health and empowerment dimensions.
  • Improvement in the reproductive health dimension is influenced by the improvement in the indicators of women giving birth not in health facilities which fall from 11.7 percent in 2021 to 9.9 percent in 2022.
  • The improvement in the dimension of empowerment was influenced by the improvement in the indicator that the percentage of women 25 years and over with senior high school education and above increased higher than that of men. The percentage of women will increase from 29.61 percent in 2021 to 30.95 percent, while the percentage of men will decrease from 36.65 percent to 36.50 percent in 2022.
