  • Oil and gas imports in August 2023 reached USD 0.63 billion or an increase of 68.19 percent compared to August 2023. This value actually decreased by 22.93 percent compared to September 2022.
  • East Java's trade balance during September 2023 again experienced a deficit of USD 597.32 million. This is caused by a trade value deficit in both the non-oil and gas sectors. The trade deficit in the oil and gas sector reached USD 508.95 million. Meanwhile, the nominal trade deficit in the non-oil and gas sector was USD 88.36 million. This condition means that the oil and gas and non-oil and gas sectors need to improve their performance so that East Java's trade balance can turn into a surplus.
