March 2024 inflation Year on Year (y-on-y) East Java Province amounting to 3.04 percent

Abstract

In March 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in East Java Province will be 3.04 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.61. The highest inflation of 4.68 occurred in Sumenep with a CPI of 109.15 and Bojonegoro Regency with a CPI of 108.44 and the lowest occurred in Jember at 2.53 percent with a CPI of 106.37. Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 7.33 percent; clothing and footwear group at 2.53 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.56 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.51 percent; health group by 2.71 percent; transportation group at 0.87 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.99 percent; education group by 1.35 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.36 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 3.44 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: information, communication and financial services groups by 0.46 percent. The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for East Java Province in March 2024 are 0.64 percent and 1.03 percent respectively.

The combined Month to Month (m-to-m) inflation of eight East Java cities in November 2023 was 0.31 percent, with Year to Date (y-to-d) inflation of 2.63 percent and Year on Year (y- on-y) of 3.24 percent

June 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in East Java Province will be 2.21 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Sumenep at 3.24 percent.

February 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in East Java Province will be 2.81 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Sumenep at 4.62 percent.

In September 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in East Java Province will be 1.73 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Sumenep at 2.45 percent.
