• East Java's economy in the third quarter of 2024, measured based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices, reached IDR 808.53 trillion, while GRDP at constant prices in 2010 reached IDR 492.43 trillion.
• East Java's economy in Quarter III-2024 to Quarter II-2024 experienced growth of 1.72 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Electricity and Gas Procurement Business Field which grew by 8.24 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Goods and Services Export Component which grew by 4.62 percent.
• East Java's economy in Quarter III-2024 compared to Quarter III-2023 increased by 4.91 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security Business Field, which grew by 9.85 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Consumption Expenditure Component of Nonprofit Institutions Serving Households (PK-LNPRT) which grew by 10.95 percent.
• Up to Quarter III-2024, the East Java economy experienced growth of 4.90 percent, occurring in the Transportation and Warehousing business sector at 10.39 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the largest growth occurred in the Non-Profit Institution component at 13.58 percent.
• Structurally, the Processing Industry Business Field dominates East Java's economic structure in Quarter III-2024 with a contribution of 30.54 percent, while in terms of expenditure it is dominated by the Household Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-RT) with a contribution of 59.78 percent.
