November 2024 Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Jawa Timur Province was 1.41 percent.

Abstract

In November 2024, East Java Province experienced year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 1.41 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.62. The highest inflation of 2.15 percent occurred in Sumenep with a CPI of 109.37 and the lowest inflation occurred in Kediri City at 0.78 percent with a CPI of 105.72.
Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 1.49 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.54 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.55 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.75 percent; health group by 1.78 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 1.44 percent; education group by 1.54 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1.92 percent; and personal care and other services groups by 7.05 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index were: the transportation group by 0.30 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.25 percent. The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate for East Java Province in November 2024 were 0.24 percent and 1.04 percent, respectively.
