Abstract

The Gender Inequality Index (IKG) in 2024 was 0.347, down 0.076 points compared to 2023 which was 0.423. The decline in the Gender Inequality Index (IKG) was mainly influenced by improvements in the reproductive health dimension and the labor market dimension. Improvements in the reproductive health dimension were influenced by improvements in the indicator of the proportion of ever-married women aged 15-49 years who gave birth live not in health facilities (MTF) which decreased from 0.087 in 2023 to 0.032 in 2024. The proportion of ever-married women aged 15-49 years who were <20 years old at the time of their first live birth (MHPK20) also decreased, from 0.256 in 2023 to 0.247 in 2024. Improvements in the labor market dimension were influenced by an increase in the TPAK for women which was higher than for men. This causes the gap in TPAK between men and women in 2024 to be smaller than in 2023.
