February 2025, Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) was 3.61 percent in Jawa Timur

Abstract

The number of workforce in East Java Province in February 2025 reached 24.76 million people. This figure increased by 620.77 thousand people compared to February 2024. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) in East Java reached 74.25 percent, up 1.23 percentage points compared to the TPAK in February 2024.
In February 2025, 8.61 million people (36.09 percent) worked in formal activities, down 0.79 percentage points compared to February 2024.
In February 2025, the percentage of underemployed in East Java Province increased by 0.12 percentage points while part-time workers decreased by 0.15 percentage points compared to February 2024.
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in February 2025 was 3.61 percent or down 0.13 percentage points compared to February 2024.
Vocational High School (SMK) graduates have the highest TPT in East Java Province, which is 5.87 percent, followed by University graduates who have a TPT of 5.60 percent.
