Abstract

The 1980-1982 East Java Population Survey (SKJT) was the result of a collaboration between the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and The International Program of Laboratories for Population Statistics (POPLAB) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, United States. The SKJT is a longitudinal study designed specifically to estimate the level and development of various demographic parameters in East Java, particularly birth and death rates. Data collection was carried out in 1980, 1981, and 1982.
