Abstract

The Public Welfare Indicator Publication of East Java Province 1986 was the first publication. The purpose of this indicator is to see the level and development of people's welfare that has been achieved in East Java. Considering the breadth of the fields that should be covered on the one hand and the very limited data available, in addition to the absence of standard quantitative measures in the social sector, on the other hand, this publication is realized to be unsatisfactory.
