Abstract

The Public Welfare Indicator Publication of East Java Province 1987/1988 was the second of a similar publication issued by the Statistics Office of East Java Province. The purpose of this publication is to see the level and development of the welfare of the people of East Java from year to year. However, due to the wide area that should be covered and there is no standard quantitative measure in the social field, it is realized that the purpose of this publication is not fully satisfactory.
