Abstract


Beginning in 2009 the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) carried out Data Collection
Farmer's Business 2009 (PUT09), with the purpose of providing a home database
Staircase of Rice Farmers, Corn, Soybean and Sugar Cane (RTUT-PJKT). With
availability of RTUT-PJKT database, expected various Government policies
in the field of food becomes more targeted. The operational basis of data collection
RTUT-PJKT is letter of Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs No. S-97 / M.EKON / IX / 08
dated September 23, 2008 concerning Updating Verification of Rice Farming, Corn,
Kedelei and Sugar Cane.
This publication describes the profile of RTUT-PJKT including
problems related to the use of fertilizers and seeds in Java
East. To sharpen the analysis besides quantitative data also used data
qualitative results obtained from Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Interview
Deep (in-depth interview) to get the focus of the above problems
the use of seeds and fertilizers by RTUT-PJKT.
