Abstract

Executive Report on Labor Force Situation in East Java The year 2008-2009 is one of the publications on manpower produced by East Java Province BPS. This report contains brief reviews and employment indicators that refer to the Labor Force concept recommended by the International Labor Organization (ILO).

The data used are derived from the results of the National Work Force Survey (SAKERNAS) in 2008-2009, which is annually held simultaneously throughout Indonesia. It is expected that the employment information presented in this publication can be used to monitor the dynamics of employment in East Java as well as for the planning and evaluation of development, both in the economic and social fields.
