SEP Data Evaluation, East Java BPS Holds 2023 Agricultural Census Coordination Meeting

BPS of East Java Province held a Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorda) for the 2023 Agricultural Census which was attended by representatives from various OPDs and BPS Regency/City throughout East Java. This Rakorda aims to evaluate the implementation of the Agricultural Economic Census that has been carried out throughout 2024. The main focus of the evaluation is to improve the quality of agricultural data to support sustainable food policies in East Java.

The event was opened with remarks from M. Habibullah, Deputy for Production Statistics of BPS RI, who emphasized the importance of valid and accurate data from the Agricultural Census to improve food security in East Java. In his speech, M. Habibullah said that the data produced from this Census will be an important basis for formulating better agricultural sector policies, in line with efforts to maintain food security and farmer welfare.

With the spirit of collaboration that was established during the Rakorda, it is hoped that the results of the 2023 Agricultural Census will make a significant contribution to the development of a sustainable agricultural sector.
