East Java BPS and East Java Communication and Information Service Synergize to Realize DTSEN

Head of BPS East Java Province, Zulkipli, met with Head of Communication and Informatics Office of East Java, Sherlita Ratna Dewi Agustin, to discuss strategic steps in implementing Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 4 of 2025 concerning National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN).

DTSEN is an important policy in unifying various socio-economic databases, such as Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS), Socio-Economic Registration (Regsosek), and Data Updates for Accelerating the Eradication of Extreme Poverty (P3KE). Through this data matching, it is hoped that all social assistance and community empowerment programs can be more focused, integrated, and targeted.

East Java Communication and Informatics Office expressed its full support for the implementation of DTSEN by providing Data Center facilities, increasing server capacity, and strengthening cybersecurity. This step aims to ensure that data is stored securely, can be accessed quickly, and remains confidential.

In addition, this meeting also discussed strategies for strengthening the implementation of sectoral statistics in East Java. One of the focuses is to improve statistical literacy for regional apparatuses to better understand and utilize the data presented in the Official Statistics News (BRS).

This collaboration is the first step towards a more integrated and accurate data system, to support data-based policies in East Java.
