Monitoring Data Quality through Quality Gates Implementation Workshop

Quality Gates (QG) is a portal or gateway to a statistical activity business process in maintaining data quality. BPS East Java Province held a Quality Gates Implementation Workshop attended by all QG admins of districts/cities in East Java Province (4/03/2025).

The workshop was opened by the Head of the Statistical Analysis Team of BPS East Java Province, Ike Rahayu Sri, who said that the implementation of QG is BPS's commitment as an official statistical data provider institution that is increasingly demanded to be better in producing data. Data monitoring through QG is intended so that the data produced is not only accurate but can also increase the trust of data users. In addition to conveying SOPs, the systems used and their practices, a Reminder System was also built for the QG Schedule so that it would not be late.

It is hoped that with this workshop, it can foster enthusiasm for all QG admins in monitoring and ensuring the quality of the ongoing statistical process as early as possible so that the impact of the risks that occur does not continue to the next stage of the process.
