Abstract

In October 2009 Jawa Timur experienced inflation of 0.13 percent. Of the 10 CPI cities in Jawa Timur, 7 cities experienced inflation and 3 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Jember by 0.52 percent followed by Probolinggo 0.35 percent, Tulungagung 0.29 percent, Malang 0.21 percent, Surabaya 0.16 percent, Kediri 0.10 percent and Tuban 0.08 percent. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in Sumenep by 0.54 percent, followed by Banyuwangi by 0.25 percent and Madiun by 0.02 percent.
