The number of tourists to Jawa Timur through the Juanda entrance in June rose by 708.33 percent while the ROR for starred hotels rose by 6.81 points

Abstract

• Foreign tourist arrivals (tourists) who came to East Java through the entrance of Juanda in June 2020 increased by 708.33 percent compared to the number of tourist arrivals in May 2020, namely from 12 visits to 97 visits.

• The number of foreign tourists visiting in June 2020 decreased by 99.57 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the same period in 2019 which reached 22,485 visits.

• During the period of January - June 2020, most tourists from Malaysia reached 10,507 visits (with a contribution of 30.73 percent), followed by Singapore nationality with 3,938 visits (with a contribution of 11.03 percent), and Chinese nationality of 2,288 visits (with contribution of 9.13 percent).

• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in East Java in June 2020 reached 22.87 percent, up 6.81 points compared to the previous month. The ROR for 2-star hotels (two) by 29.63 percent was the highest ROR compared to ROR for other starred hotels.

• The Average Length of Stay of Foreign Guests (RLMT) in star hotels in June 2020 reached 3.52, down 1.72 points compared to May 2020 which reached 5.24 days. The overall RLMT in June 2020 was 2.00 days, up 0.25 points compared to 1.75 days in May 2020.
