Abstract

• East Java Fishers Exchange Rate (NTN) in February 2021 rose 1.89 percent from 96.60 in January 2021 to 98.42 in February 2021. This increase was due to the increase in the price index received by fishermen by 2.01 percent, greater than the price index paid by fishermen, which increased by 0.12 percent.
• The development of NTN in February 2021 against December 2020 (calendar year) increased by 2.25 percent. The development of NTN in February 2021 against February 2020 (year-on-year) increased by 1.32 percent.
• Of the six provinces in Java Island that carried out NTN calculations in February 2021, five provinces experienced an increase in NTN. East Java Province increased by 1.89 percent, Banten Province by 1.29 percent, DI Yogyakarta Province by 1.07 percent, DKI Jakarta Province by 0.25 percent, and Central Java Province by 0.21 percent. West Java Province was the only province that experienced a decline in NTN, with a decrease of 1.41 percent.
