July 2022 East Java Inflation of 0.61 percent

Abstract

Of the eight CPI cities in East Java, all of them experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Sumenep Regency at 1.04 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in Probolinggo City at 0.52 percent.

Inflation occurred due to a general increase in prices, as indicated by the increase in most of the index of expenditure groups. Of the eleven expenditure groups, ten groups experienced inflation and one group did not change. The expenditure group that experienced the highest inflation was the food, beverage and tobacco group at 1.12 percent, followed by the transportation group at 0.99 percent, the food and beverage/restaurant supply group at 0.93 percent, the education group at 0.44 percent, and the education group at 0.44 percent. clothing and footwear by 0.37 percent, personal care and other services group by 0.34 percent, household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.28 percent, housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.28 percent 0.22 percent, the recreation, sports, and culture group is 0.14 percent and the health group is 0.10 percent. The groups that did not change were the information, communication, and service groups.

The inflation rate for the calendar year July 2022 was 3.95 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (July 2022 to July 2021) was recorded at 5.39 percent.
