March 2025 Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Jawa Timur Province was 0.77 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Banyuwangi at 1.89 percent.

In March 2025, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in East Java Province of 0.77 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.43. The highest inflation occurred in Banyuwangi at 1.89 percent with a CPI of 108.63 and the lowest inflation occurred in Bojonegoro Regency at 0.13 percent with a CPI of 108.58. Meanwhile, deflation occurred in Kediri City at 0.04 percent with a CPI of 106.13. Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 1.64 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.10 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.56 percent; health group by 1.95 percent; transportation group by 0.48 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 1.40 percent; education group by 1.49 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.13 percent; and personal care and other services group by 8.94 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index were: housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 7.49 percent; and information, communication, and financial services group by 0.16 percent. The month-to-month (m-to-m) and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rates in East Java Province in March 2025 were 1.44 percent and 0.30 percent, respectively.
