April 2025 Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Jawa Timur Province was 1.35 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Banyuwangi at 2.38 percent.

In April 2025, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in East Java Province of 1.35 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.43. The highest inflation occurred in Banyuwangi at 2.38 percent with a CPI of 109.47 and the lowest inflation occurred in Bojonegoro Regency at 0.85 percent with a CPI of 109.71. Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 0.36 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.89 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 1.38 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.50 percent; health group by 1.96 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 1.49 percent; education group by 1.46 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.07 percent; and personal care and other services group by 10.38 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index were: transportation group by 0.33 percent; and information, communication, and financial services group by 0.69 percent. The month-to-month (m-to-m) and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rates in East Java Province in April 2025 were 0.93 percent and 1.23 percent, respectively.
