Abstract

This 2020 East Java Province Grain Producer Price Statistics Publication is an annual publication published by the Central Statistics Agency of East Java Province. The data presented in this publication is data on grain producer prices at the district and provincial levels during the period January to December 2020. The results of the monitoring survey on grain producer prices include the number of observations, the lowest price and the highest price at the transaction point, the average price by quality group. , quality components, and the case of prices below the Government Purchase Price (HPP), both at the farm and mill levels.Considering that grain is a strategic commodity, the price of grain at both the farmer and mill level needs to be regulated by the government through the Minister of Trade Regulation (Permendag) Number 24 of 2020 which revises the previous regulation, namely Presidential Instruction (Inpres) of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5 of 2015 concerning Purchased Grain Prices. Government (HPP Grain) which is effective from March 19, 2020. This policy is needed to secure prices in order to create price stability in the market.
