K3 Training: BPS East Java Prepares Employees to Face the Risks of Hazardous Chemicals

In an effort to improve employee understanding and awareness of the importance of Occupational Health and Safety (K3), BPS East Java Province held a training themed "BASIC K3 OF HAZARDOUS AND TOXIC MATERIALS" on Friday, December 6, 2024. This activity was held in the 3rd Floor Hall and was attended by employees from the General Function and all outsourcing employees working at BPS East Java Province accompanied by Mr. Rama as HRD from PT. BINTANG CAKRA SEMESTA.

This training presented Mr. Wuri Nur Hidayat from Panggon Sinau, as the main speaker. The resource person discussed various materials, ranging from the introduction of hazardous chemicals, the risks posed, to handling steps in accordance with K3 standards. Participants were also given a simulation of how to use personal protective equipment (PPE) and emergency response procedures in the event of an incident related to chemicals.

Head of General Affairs of BPS East Java Province, Satriyo Wibowo, in his remarks conveyed the importance of this training as an effort to create a safe and healthy work environment. "With the knowledge gained from this training, it is hoped that all employees will be able to manage chemicals properly and minimize risks that can disrupt work productivity and health," he said.
