Development of East Java Consumer Price / Inflation Index June 2008

Starting June 2008 base year calculation Consumer Price Index (CPI) using
2007 = 1 00 (formerly 2002 = 1 00) based on the 2007 Live Cost Survey (SBH). With
using the new base year, in June 2008 there was a national inflation of 2.46 percent and
East Java inflation was 2.24 percent. Of the 66 national cities, all cities recorded inflation. Highest inflation
occurred in Kendari 6.49 percent and the lowest occurred in Bogor 1, 1 5 percent. While from 1 0 city area in
East Java all also experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Madiun 4.05 percent and the lowest in
Sumenep 1, 62 percent.
