Growth of Consumer Price Index / East Java Inflation October 2008

Starting July 2008 base year calculation Consumer Price Index (CPI) using
2007 = 100 (previous 2002 = 100) based on the 2007 Live Cost Survey (SBH). With
using the new base year, in October 2008 there was a national inflation of 0.45 percent
and East Java inflation of 0.44 percent. Of 66 national cities, not all of them have inflation. Highest inflation
occurred in Palangkaraya 1.71 percent and the highest deflation occurred in Ambon 1.63 percent, while with 10
the city of Amatan in East Java all experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Sumenep 0.95 percent and
the lowest in Banyuwangi 0.12 percent.
