Growth of Consumer Price Index / Inflation East Java September 2008

Starting July 2008 base year calculation Consumer Price Index (CPI) using
2007 = 1 00 (formerly 2002 = 1 00) based on the 2007 Live Cost Survey (SBH). With
using the new base year, in September 2008 there was a national inflation of 0.97
percent and East Java inflation 0.86 percent. Of the 66 national cities all experienced inflation. Highest inflation
occurred in Tarakan 2.80 percent and the lowest occurred in Manado 0.03 percent. Likewise with 1 0
the city of Amatan in East Java all experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Sumenep 1, 48 percent and
the lowest in Probolinggo 0.31 percent.
