The East Java Fishermen Exchange Rate (NTN) in April 2020 dropped by 2.68 percent

Abstract

• East Java Fishermen Exchange Rate (NTN) in April 2020 decreased 2.68 percent from 96.86 in March 2020 to 94.26 in April 2020. This decrease was caused by the price index paid by fishermen increased by 0.04 percent, whereas the price index received by fishermen dropped by 2.64 percent.

• NTN development in April 2020 against December 2019 (calendar year) decreased by 3.82 percent. The NTN development in April 2020 against April 2019 (year-on-year) decreased by 3.22 percent.

• Out of the six provinces in Java that calculated NTN in April 2020, one province experienced an increase in NTN and five provinces experienced a decrease in NTN. The increase in NTN only occurred in the Province of D.I. Yogyakarta by 0.97 percent. The provinces that experienced a decline in NTN were, DKI Jakarta Province by 1.19 percent, Banten Province 1.23 percent, West Java Province 2.13 percent, Central Java Province 2.32 percent, and finally East Java Province with the highest rate of decline. which is 2.68 percent.
