Elderly Population Profile of Jawa Timur Province 2017

One of the successes of development in the health sector can be seen from the increasing life expectancy of the population. Increased numbers life expectancy is reflected in the increasing number of residents classified elderly or known as the elderly. The elderly population in Jawa Timur in the year 2017 has reached 12.92 percent which indicates that the Javanese population structure East belongs to the old population. The elderly population has socio-economic character different compared to young people, so that needs attention specifically for policy makers so that the direction of development can be beneficial maximum for the elderly population. This publication is published with the aim of providing an overview of socio-economic conditions of the elderly population in Jawa Timur. Data presented in the publication of Profile of the Elderly Population of Jawa Timur Province of 2017 among them is characteristic demographics, education level, health degree, and economic activities of the people elderly population in Jawa Timur.
