Harvested Area and Rice Production in Jawa Timur Province in 2023 Results of Integrated Food Crop Agricultural Statistics Data Collection Activities Using the Area Sample Frame Method

The availability of timely and accurate agricultural data is foundation for realizing agricultural policies that are right on target. Since 2018, BPS has collaborated with the Assessment Agency and Application of Technology (BPPT) National Aeronautics and Space Agency (LAPAN) which has now merged into the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (Ministry of ATR/BPN), as well as the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) are making efforts improving the methodology for calculating rice harvest area through implementation objective measurement by utilizing advances in information technology and communications and the availability of high-resolution satellite imagery. Collaboration This is realized in an activity entitled "Statistical Data CollectionIntegrated Food Crop Farming using the Sampling Frame Methode Area (KSA)” or better known as KSA Survey.
